Paragraph 18:

“Sucking my breath in by covering my mouth, I tried not to panic for what scene laid upon my eyes. My blocks of life I had created were crumbling down bits by bits, the way he undressed her tread by tread. I tumbled on the floor as my body got jammed and I was weightless somehow. They were laughing and cuddling, flesh touching each other. And I sat there like a lost doll that barely knew which way to go. He was busy caressing her while I was stripped in shame. Until yesterday, I lay next to him and today he had someone else. I could see my name flash on his skin and it didn’t ease the pain any less when the one gripping him wasn’t me, any longer.”
